FIELD: nuclear power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to and can be used in decontamination of radioactive wastes. Complex installation for decontamination of solid radioactive wastes includes combined ultrasonic and electrochemical decontamination of metal in decontaminating solutions. It comprises a decontamination bath with heating and electrodes, a bath for washing cleaned articles with ultrasonic and mechanical mixing of the washing solution, and a drying chamber. Basket is used to move the decontaminated solid radioactive wastes between the baths. Spent decontaminating solution is supplied to neutralization unit, where neutralizing solution is added to it, which comes from chemical reagents storage unit. Radioactive deposit formed in the neutralization unit is directed for inclusion into the matrix in the conditioning unit or in order to further reduce the volume of secondary radioactive wastes into the drying unit. Liquid phase from the neutralization unit enters the unit for preparation of decontaminating solutions or for additional purification into the coagulation unit, where a coagulant is added, which comes from the chemical reagents storage unit. Purified liquid phase is returned back to the decontamination bath.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reduce volumes of secondary wastes.
