FIELD: woodworking industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to woodworking industry, in particular, to band-sawing machines for lengthwise sawing of timber. Band-sawing machines comprises saw unit, frame, clamping mechanism, feed mechanism. Saw unit of the machine is equipped with a beam of variable cross-section. On one end of the beam there rigidly fixed is a conical reduction gear, on the output shaft of which the drive pulley is fixed, and the input shaft is connected to the electric motor by means of a belt transmission. At the other end of the beam there is tensioning wheel. At that, beam is installed on frame in bearings, with possibility of changing position of vertical plane, by 180° rotation.
EFFECT: enabling the band-sawing machines design simplification.
