FIELD: plastic processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for continuous production of a granulated molten polyolefin composition containing bimodal or multimodal polyolefin and one or more additives. Method is carried out in an extruder equipped with at least one hopper, by feeding into bunker of bimodal or multimodal polyolefin in form of polyolefin powder, introduction of one or more additives into same hopper, melting and homogenisation of the polyolefin powder and additives in the extruder to form a molten polyolefin composition with subsequent granulation. During the process of producing granules, the flow rate of one or more additives fed into the hopper is corrected in response to consumption of the polyolefin powder or correction of the polyolefin powder consumption in response to consumption of the polyolefin granules obtained in the extruder.
EFFECT: method of the invention has high accuracy of dosing, and also enables to achieve uniform distribution of additives in polyolefin compositions containing bimodal or multimodal polyethylene, especially in polyolefin compositions containing bimodal or multimodal high-density polyethylene.
