FIELD: electrical equipment; satisfaction of human vital needs.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an electronic system for producing steam (aerosol), such as an electronic cigarette, and to mechanical connection of its components. Electronic steam generation system comprises a material storage cartridge capable of generating an aerosol while heating, and a control unit including a battery for supplying electric power for heating, wherein cartridge and control unit are made with possibility of detachable connection to each other by means of at least one locking element containing support part fixed in one of connected components – cartridge or control unit, and leg with first locking element, first end of which is connected to the support part by a flexible bend, wherein the locking member is configured such that in the initial position, the support portion and the leg are connected by a bendable elastic connection at angle of 70 to 110°, and the other of said connected components comprises a second locking member located on the surface of said component such that when the cartridge is connected to the control unit by substantially linear movement, it is engaged with said first locking member, and when the cartridge is disengaged from the control unit, disengages from the first locking member, wherein said engagement and disengagement is performed by shifting the stop member leg around the bendable elastic connection, wherein said displacement is a rotation towards increasing or decreasing the bending angle in the elastic joint relative to its initial position.
