SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to haemostatic composition containing fibers of oxidised cellulose, having a D90 size distribution of less than 350 mcm and D50 of less than 167 mcm, with a fiber concentration in range of 83.5–90.0 wt % of the entire composition, epsilon-aminocaproic acid (ε-ACA) with concentration in range of 2.5–5.0 wt % of the entire composition, a protamine salt with a concentration in range of 2.5–5.0 wt % of the entire composition, a bivalent cation salt, wherein concentration of cation of said salt of divalent cation is 1.3–1.8 wt % of total composition, wherein said salt of divalent cation is calcium chloride, wherein the composition is in form of powder and/or aggregates, also relates to a method for preparing a haemostatic composition, also relates to a method of forming a gel, also relates to haemostatic gel and haemostatic kit, relates to a method for treating a bleeding wound, bacterial infection in a wound site with minimizing or preventing an anastomotic leak, leakproofing in place and/or prevention of adhesion in the surgical site of the subject requiring it and relates to use of haemostatic composition for treatment of bleeding wound, bacterial infection in wound site with minimization or prevention of anastomotic leakage, leakproofing in place and/or prevention of tightening.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides a composition which is capable of inducing the formation of a gel or clots possessing useful physical properties, such as high cohesion strength and high haemostatic capacity.
