FIELD: antenna equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to antenna equipment of millimeter wavelength range and can be used in probing devices of radio interferometers for measurement of kinematic parameters of motion of surfaces in diagnosed closed volumes, as well as irradiators of long-focus mirror antennas. In a dielectric rod emitter containing a single-wave metal waveguide of round section and coaxially located in it dielectric insert with dielectric permittivity of material ε from 2.1 to 2.6, part of which in form of rod fills section of metal waveguide, and part protrudes beyond end of metal waveguide by length (5-6)λ, where λ – average wavelength of working range, protruding beyond end of metal waveguide, part of dielectric insert is made in form of truncated cone, changing into rod of constant cross-section, and is joined to end of metal waveguide larger base of truncated cone, diameter D of which exceeds diameter of metal waveguide and is determined from ratio
length of part of insert in form of truncated cone is selected from ratio L=(1.5-2)λ, and small base of truncated cone has diameter equal to diameter of dielectric rod of constant cross section, which is twice less than inner diameter of metal waveguide.
EFFECT: technical result when implementing disclosed solution consists in improvement of characteristics of rod radiator and expansion of its application area.
