FIELD: woodworking industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to woodworking industry, in particular to debarking of round timber. Device for debarking of round timber includes frame, on which there are mechanisms of longitudinal feed and rotation about lengthwise axis of processed log, made in form of transverse and longitudinal drive rollers, and bark removal unit. Bark removal unit is installed on the frame by means of a yoke, which makes it possible to move the unit in a vertical plane. Bark removal unit is made in the form of a nozzle connected to a combustion chamber, which is connected to a fuel pump for fuel supply and a compressor for air supply under excessive pressure. Nozzle is configured to be pressed to processed log by means of resilient element and direction to removed bark of high-temperature jet of flue gases formed in combustion chamber.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of copying the shape of the treated log.
