FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for orbital treatment of non-revolving joints of pipes, in particular welding, cutting, processing of edges, cleaning. Flexible composite carriage consists of at least two pivotally connected components connected in series in one order. Each part comprises group of coaxial support rollers, axis of which is located near to hinge in radius equal to 1/3 of distance between hinges of component part, and is parallel to axis of processed pipe. At least one component part of the flexible composite carriage is equipped with a support-driving roller and a driving mechanism with a torque source, which moves the flexible composite carriage along the pipe surface around its axis. At least one functional device for processing the pipe is installed on one of the components of the flexible carriage.
EFFECT: device allows to simplify procedure of its installation on pipe and removal, provides accuracy of following along joint of pipe taking into account its possible defects and excludes slippage.
