METHOD OF TESTING ROLLED PRODUCTS FOR OIL-FIELD PIPES ON CORROSION-ABRASIVE WEAR Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC G01N3/56

Abstract RU 2697030 C1

FIELD: test technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to testing and can be used for performance testing of rolled products used for oil-field pipes. Method of rolling tests for oil-field pipes on corrosion-abrasive wear, including weighing of test specimen of rolled stock, preparation of test solution by introduction of abrasive particles into it, further supply of said solution to surface of sample in flooded jet mode from specified distance and at specified angle to said surface under conditions of continuous circulation of said solution in test installation in closed cycle mode, weighing the sample after testing and evaluating the obtained results, characterized by that the test solution is heated to a temperature corresponding to the operating conditions of oil fields, for which selection of pipe material is carried out, saturating reagents corresponding to said conditions, forming acidity level of test solution with hydrogen pH value, which also corresponds to these conditions, adding into it corrosion-active substances with concentration of not more than 5 %, adding to it abrasive particles with size not exceeding 1.5 mm, and with concentration of not more than 5 %, and flooded jet of test solution is supplied to flat face surface of tested specimen of rolled product at angle of 45–90° to this surface, from distance of 10–20 mm from it, with a speed of not more than 5 m/s, with duration of tests of not less than 24 hours, note here that, prior to weighing, surface of specimen is cleaned from residues of test solution and abrasive, and obtained results are evaluated by weight of test specimen.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of reliability of evaluation of corrosion-abrasive wear of rolled metal based on results of testing in conditions most close to specific oil fields.
