SUBSTANCE: in the present disclosure, new containers, preforms, methods and structures for small and light weight carbonated beverages packages are provided, which provide unexpectedly improved retention of carbon dioxide and longer storage life, while still achieving weight reduction. In particular, the present disclosure relates to small containers of PET for carbonated beverages, for example, with volume of approximately 400 ml or less, and to methods and structures for their production.
EFFECT: containers have surprisingly good retention of carbon dioxide and storage life.
