FIELD: packaging.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to methods for producing light polyethylene terephthalate bottles. For the production of bottles, poly(ethylene furan dicarboxylate)/poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PEF/PET) mixtures are obtained, wherein the amount of PEF is in the range from 0.1% to 40% by weight in terms of the total weight of the mixture. The injection molding of the PEF/PET mixture is carried out with the formation of a preform from the mixture. Next, molding is performed with blowing and extracting the preform from the mixture in a casting mold to form a bottle.
EFFECT: reducing the weight of the bottle while maintaining or reducing the penetration rate of water vapor, oxygen and/or carbon dioxide, which increases the storage life of a carbonated drink in a bottle, in comparison with a bottle obtained from pure PET, while the production of the bottle can be carried out on existing equipment for producing bottles from PET.
