FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of articles from powder materials, namely, to production of articles by hot pressing mainly of carbide ceramics, and can be used in production of abrasive tools, structural ceramics, armor ceramics. Method involves low-temperature molding with provision of equal density and uniformity of semi-finished product from homogeneous material or separate semi-finished products and segments thereof for filling the entire area of sintering mold, or semi-finished product billet by size of sintering mold with its subsequent cutting into semi-finished products of separate products with application of mating after parts as segments and their placing into sintering mold into one or several layers. Between surfaces of side ends of semi-finished products, semi-products of articles, segments thereof and shaping surfaces of sintering mold, a soft separator is laid: graphite paper or graphite paste with thickness of 0.2–0.3 mm, and after hot pressing sintered layer of finished products is divided into separate products, then their side ends are treated with abrasive material in abrasive blasting device or grinding tool until complete removal of traces of soft separator.

EFFECT: high efficiency of making ceramic articles by hot pressing owing to the possibility of making articles with a single unit without cutting.
