FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for manufacturing shutter of wedge gate of increased tightness with diameter of nominal passage DN50…800 mm and conditional medium pressure PN0.1…25.0 MPa. Preliminary machining of the wedge chamber of the valve body is performed to obtain a given wedge chamber angle (αbody) and wedge (αwed). Then, additional mechanical machining of the wedge with discrete micro-adjustment of its angle (αwed) to obtain a given value of said angle. Angle value (αwed) of wedge is set within 10°3'…10°7'20'', and value of angle (αbody) of wedge chamber is set within 9°56'…9°58'.

EFFECT: higher tightness in shutter of wedge gate by providing additional micro-adjustment of wedge angle.
