FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of stable boron isotopes. Method of separating boron isotopes is carried out by chemical exchange in a two-phase liquid-liquid system using an aqueous solution of boric acid as an aqueous phase and an organic phase consisting of a complex compound of boric acid with an organic substance, which is represented by tributyl phosphoric acid ester, wherein re-extraction of boric acid with water is carried out, followed by evaporation of the aqueous solution under conditions of cross-current of the organic phase and water.
EFFECT: invention reduces the number of components of the organic phase, increases the single separation coefficient, reduces the number of theoretical separation steps required to achieve the required concentration of the boron isotope, high efficiency of the extraction process of boric acid, low water consumption and low power consumption.
