FIELD: various technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for production of highly concentrated stable isotope of boron 10B or its extraction from boron-containing substances. Method of concentrating a stable isotope of boron 10B involves chemical exchange in a liquid-liquid system between an aqueous solution of boric acid and an amine complex with tri-n-octylamine present in the organic phase and inversion of phase flows with respect to 10B isotope. Wherein amine complex with tri-n-octylamine is formed by extraction of boric acid from its aqueous solution in the presence of tartaric acid. Organic solvent used is o-xylene. Phase flows are reversed by 10B isotope by re-extraction of boric acid with distilled water at increased to 95.5 °C temperature.

EFFECT: invention allows to reduce losses of organic solvent, increase distribution coefficient of boron between phases, reduce consumption of organic phase, increase the coefficient of separation (enrichment) of boron isotopes, exclude the use of HCl as a reagent for reversing flows of phases with respect to 10B isotope.
