FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to layered composite materials for use in production of architectural and construction and decorative articles used for exterior finishing and interior of church structures, for example for production of church domes, dome crosses, iconostases, and concerns layered composite material and article made from it. Material is formed from at least one layer of glass-fiber filler impregnated with binder and outer layer made of at least one metal or alloy of metals, a gelcoat layer located on one of the outermost layers of the filler, located on the gel coat layer, at least one layer of soil, at least one layer of lacquer and at least one adhesive layer, note here that varnish layer is located on soil layer while glue layer is arranged on lacquer layer. Note here that said metals are selected from gold, silver, rhodium, copper, chrome, nickel, titanium, aluminum, tin, palladium, zinc, cadmium and magnesium.

EFFECT: invention improves the quality of articles obtained from composite materials by increasing the strength properties of the outer (decorative) material, reducing its abrasion and increasing service life of such items as church domes, dome crosses, iconostases and other elements of external and internal church furniture.
