FIELD: beverage preparation device.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a beverage preparation device for preparing a beverage from a capsule in clamping device (30). Clamping device has a first clamping element (31) and a second clamping element, wherein inner surfaces of first clamping element and second clamping element form clamping chamber (33), intended to substantially surround capsule (10) and provide support for capsule (10) during beverage preparation. Second clamping element comprises rigid peripheral frame (32) having central empty space, and resilient layer (37) covering said central empty space. There is piston (36) located in central empty space and elastically connected to peripheral frame (32) to enable limited elastic movement of rigid peripheral frame (32) relative to piston (36).
EFFECT: present invention provides a beverage preparation capsule containing a beverage preparation ingredient.
