SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication. Electronic communication device includes a network interface that can allow an electronic device to wirelessly communicate an electronic device with other electronic communication devices, a processor which receives routing data from another electronic device. Routing table comprises a plurality of target and intermediate devices, as well as a plurality of transit sections between electronic devices. Communication session is established with one of a plurality of target electronic devices using a transport layer security datagram (DTLS) protocol, packet data associated with said session being routed based on received routing data with a distance vector.

EFFECT: enabling establishment of secure communication between electronic communication devices via a mesh network.
