FIELD: vehicle control.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control of vehicle, in particular, for determination of target value of control parameter, for example, pressure or ratio of recirculation of exhaust gases (EGR) of internal combustion engine. Disclosed is a vehicle equipment control system comprising: feedback controller (5) for determining an input control signal of equipment (6) so that one equipment control output signal approaches a target value, part (2) for calculating preliminary target values for calculating a preliminary target value based on a predetermined hardware parameter, and reference controller (3) for searching for minimum values of the object function by updating the corrected target value in order to derive the target value from the preliminary target value. Support regulator is also configured to update the corrected target value only between r–0.5Rr and r, where Rr is the value of the partial differential for the corrected target value w of the object function, when the corrected target value w is the preliminary target value r.

EFFECT: reduced processing load of reference controller when searching for minimum values of object function.
