FIELD: motor vehicle industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to motor vehicle industry, particularly, to devices and methods facilitating parking of vehicles. Proposed method comprises obtaining recognition information on parked vehicles (2) existing in car parking, extraction of two or more vehicles (2) parked nearby, from recognition information and grouping of two or more vehicles (2) into set of vehicles (3). When space in which parking is possible exists between parked vehicles (2) included in grouped set of vehicles (3), space is estimated as available space for parking (5). In addition, it can be provided for setting a reference strip direction line for passage, extending along the parking car passway, calculating reference distances between the direction line of the pass band and parked vehicles (2) included in said recognition information, and extracting two or more vehicles (2) from said recognition information and grouping two or more vehicles (2) into a set of vehicles (3) based on the calculated reference distances.
EFFECT: providing parking regardless of whether or not the signal marking line representing the parking frame may be recognized.
