SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control of vehicle, in particular, for determination of target value of control parameter, for example ratio of exhaust gas recirculation (EGR). Disclosed is a vehicle power plant control system comprising means (2) for calculating target value (r) for power plant control (6) output value (x), means (3) for correcting the target value so as to calculate the corrected target value (w), and feedback controller (5) determining an input control value. Target adjustment means (3), if the output control value is changed to the target value, sets the corrected target value so that the value of the target value correction becomes equal to or less than the predetermined value, then changes the corrected target value so, that the value of the target value correction becomes more than the predetermined value, then changes the corrected target value so that value of correction of the target value becomes equal to or less than the predetermined value, before the output control value reaches the target value.
EFFECT: suppressing override of output control value, at the same time suppressing deterioration of response of control output value, if approximation of output control value is approached to target value.
