FIELD: nuclear equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear engineering. Ultrasonic monitoring system of over-the-sky space of nuclear reactor with liquid-metal heat carrier includes ultrasonic reflector and scanning ultrasonic mechanism with drives, which includes carrying bar with sealed ultrasonic transducers acoustic axis of which coincides with one of horizontal planes, crossing space filled with liquid metal heat carrier – controlled gap between lower elevations of uncoupled elements of CPS and upper elevations of fuel assembly heads. Ultrasound reflector is made in the form of a ring on which there is at least one row of vertical cylindrical rods, the ring is attached to one of the heat shields surrounding the active zone, mainly near to the housing of the nuclear reactor, at that, pitch with which cylindrical rods are arranged in row is smaller than pitch between assemblies.
EFFECT: invention increases reliability of detecting obstacles in controlled over-the-sky space.
