FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: method of making a cascade grate panel for a jet engine thrust reverser involves providing a plurality of thermoplastic blades and a plurality of thermoplastic power bars. Thermoplastic blades are made by pressing in mold of thermoplastic resin reinforced with intermittent fibres, and thermoplastic power plates are made by continuous pressing in a mold of thermoplastic resin reinforced with continuous fibres, so that power plates are spaced from each other with formation of grooves between adjacent power planks. Then, said plurality of thermoplastic blades, a set of solid tool inserts and a set of expandable soluble cores are assembled in said grooves to form a pre-assembled cascade grate panel so that solid tool inserts are arranged in alternating cavities from cavities, set by said plurality of thermoplastic blades, and expandable soluble cores are located in remaining cavities. Thereafter, pre-assembled cascade trellised panel is consolidated, wherein the expandable soluble cores are expanded at combined consolidation to press thermoplastic blades to thermoplastic power planks and solid tool inserts. Device for implementing said method of making a cascade trellis panel includes a tool comprising a plurality of solid tool inserts and a plurality of cores. Tool inserts are made fixed relative to each other and can be inserted into the first set of cavities formed by blades. Cores are made with possibility of insertion separately into the second set of cavities formed with blades. Another invention of the group relates to a cascade grate panel for the jet engine thrust reverser made by means of the above method, containing multiple power plates and blades. Each of the power bars is made of polymer resin reinforced from continuous fibre. Blades are connected with power plates and are made of polymer resin reinforced from intermittent fibre.
EFFECT: group of inventions makes it possible to simplify production of cascade grating panel for jet engine reverser.
