FIELD: radar ranging and radio navigation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radar equipment and can be used to monitor serviceability of receiving-amplifying channels of receiving-transmitting modules of active phased antenna arrays (APAA), providing formation of a beam pattern of a given shape, which is varied in space electronically. Said technical result is achieved due to serial monitoring of operating efficiency of receiving-amplifying channels of receiving-transmitting modules APAA, phase change in the monitored channel and measurement of signal parameters at the outputs of the adder APAA. At that, the health solution is accepted by the following criterion: |Ui-Usp|≤ΔUsra, where Ui is measured averaged amplitude of the i-th channel; Usp – maximum support amplitude value; ΔUsra is threshold value for evaluation of serviceability of receiving-amplifying channels, determined empirically.

EFFECT: high accuracy of determining failed reception-amplification channels APAA.
