SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the antenna equipment. Method of resolving the detection of diffraction lobes includes steps of: sampling output signal indicating signal reflection from target from each of multiple antenna elements, integrating output signal from first subset of antenna elements selected to form first opening to determine first composite reflection of signal from target for first opening, merging output signal from second subset of antenna elements selected to form second opening to determine second composite reflection of signal from target for second opening, processing output signals determining the first and second composite reflections of the signal to identify the phase angle difference between the first and second composite reflections of the signal, angle of arrival for the target is determined based on the difference of the phase angle and the phase centre shift between the openings, and an indicator is displayed on the path in response to the angle of arrival, which is less than the threshold angle for the given range to the target.
EFFECT: disclosed is a method of resolving detection of a diffraction lobe, an antenna system and a vehicle.
