SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of displacing rod-like articles and a device for displacing rod-shaped articles. Method of rod-like articles displacement, in which at least one rod-like article (4, 4') or group (6) of rod-like articles are transported in groove (3) located on circumference of drum conveyor (2), wherein lengths of rod-like articles (4, 4') or common lengths of groups (6) of rod-shaped articles in each of grooves (3) can be different, wherein pushing assembly (5, 25, 35) is further displaced in direction substantially across axis of groove (3) of drum conveyor (2), by means of surfaces (11A, 21A, 31A) of pushing assembly (5, 25, 35) located at an angle relative to pushing elements (7, 27, 37) installed with possibility of sliding in direction of axis of groove (3), force applied to pushing elements (7, 27, 37) is applied by pushing assembly (5, 25, 35), then rod-like articles (4, 4') or groups (6) of rod-like products are displaced in axial direction in grooves (3) by means of pushing elements (7, 27, 37).
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is centering of rod-shaped items of different length, that is location of products in grooves so that central parts of rod-shaped products or groups of rod-shaped products are located in a substantially common plane.
