SUBSTANCE: method and device (1A, 1B, 1C, 1D, 1E) for axial centering of rod-shaped article (3) or group of rod-like articles, wherein movement of rod-like article (3) or group of rod-shaped articles takes place in groove (4) made on circumference of drum conveyor (5); and rod-like article (3) or group of rod-shaped products in successively arranged grooves (4) have same or different length, wherein device (1A, 1B, 1C, 1D, 1E) is equipped with pusher elements (10, 13, 20, 23, 30, 33, 40, 43) of biasing mechanism acting on rod-like article (3) or group of rod-shaped articles in axial direction for changing the position of rod-shaped article (3) or groups of rod-shaped articles in groove (4); characterized in that pushed elements (10, 13, 20, 23, 30, 33, 40, 43) are connected to each other, perform opposite-direction rocking motions; and pushers (10, 13, 20, 23, 30, 33, 40, 43) comprise contact surfaces (10A, 13A, 20A, 23A, 30A, 33A, 40A, 43A) configured to axially affect rod-like article (3) or group of rod-shaped products, wherein contact surfaces (10A, 13A, 20A, 23A, 30A, 33A, 40A, 43A) of push elements (10, 13, 20, 23, 30, 33, 40, 43) are arranged to converge in direction of movement (T) rod-like products; at that, at least one pushing element (10, 13, 20, 23, 30, 33, 40, 43) is connected to dynamic element (6, 26, 37, 47), which switches pushing elements (10, 13, 20, 23, 30, 33, 40, 43) into position, allowing them to so act in axial direction on rod-shaped products (3, 3L, 3R) or a group of rod-shaped articles, moved on drum conveyor (5), that the centers of rod-shaped products (3) or groups of rod-shaped products are located in essentially the same plane (S, SL, SR).
EFFECT: disclosed is an apparatus and a method for axial centering of a rod-shaped article or a group of rod-shaped articles, as well as a multi-step unit for cutting a rod-shaped article or a group of rod-shaped articles.
