SUBSTANCE: method of rod-shaped articles displacement, in which at least one rod-shaped article or group of rod-shaped articles is transported in groove located on drum conveyor periphery, wherein the lengths of the rod-shaped articles or the common lengths of the groups of rod-shaped articles in each of the grooves can vary, wherein pushing assembly forcing the rod-shaped articles is shifted in a direction substantially across the axis of the drum conveyor groove, wherein the pushing assembly has surfaces located at an angle to the axis of the drum conveyor groove, wherein the rod-shaped articles or groups of rod-shaped articles are axially displaced in the grooves by the surfaces of the pushing assembly.
