FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to oncology, and can be used for metastatic involvement of lymph nodes. Lymph node (LN) elastography is performed. Elastography is used to detect a section LN with maximum rigidity. Young's elastographic coefficient is determined in this section (SWE_kPa), kPa. Additionally performing ultrasound examination LN in B-mode. Presence of the fatty sinus in the structure of the lymph node (Fat_gate) is determined, s.u. In Doppler mode blood flow type is determined in LN, standard unit. Based on the obtained data, calculating a metastatic affection probability value LN (P) by formula P=1/(1+e-z), where z=0.06*[SWE_kPa]+0.9*[Irregular_vessels] – 2.72*[Fat_gate] – 1.6. Irregular_vessels is evaluated as 1 standard unit in case of irregular blood flow in analyzed LN, as 0 standard units – in case of irregular blood flow absence. Fat_gate is evaluated as 0 standard units in case of presence of fatty sinus in structure of lymph node, as 1 standard unit - in case of absence of fat sine. If the value P is 0.38 standard units and more conclusion is made on presence of metastatic involvement of analyzed LN. If P is less than 0.38 standard units, conclusion is made on absence of metastatic affection LN.

EFFECT: method enables detecting a metastatic lymph node involvement by determining a metastatic affection probability index LN.
