FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine, namely to ultrasonic diagnostics, and can be used for age determination of thrombi in lower extremity vein thrombosis and selection of tactics of lower extremity vein thrombosis treatment. Ultrasonic gel is applied on the patient's skin; an ultrasonic sensor is placed on the skin surface in a projection of the area of interest. Thrombus is found and its length, level of propagation and echogenicity are determined. In the colour duplex scanning mode, the vessel type is differentiated, the volume occupied by the thrombus in the vein lumen and its fixation to the walls are determined. Position of the operator’s hand on the analysed area of the patient’s body in a fixed state is fixed and an image of the area of interest is obtained. After activating the elastography mode, the monitor simultaneously displays images in B-mode and shear wave elastography (ESW). Thrombus-free vein lumen is not stained, the vein sections with the thrombus in the lumen are mapped with a colour gamut, which is reflected on the colour scale in the monitor, further, for quantitative assessment of thrombus stiffness in the investigated area, control volumes are alternately measured using the Q-box button in areas of the same size and located at the same depth, then in ESV mode in each zone of interest three values of Young's modulus are determined, average value E Mean is used for analysis. Further, the therapeutic approach is determined depending on the age of the thrombus.
EFFECT: methods make it possible to assess parameters of thrombus elasticity and to determine actual terms of thrombosis, to reduce frequency of bleeding caused by ineffectiveness of thrombosis, due to evaluation of thrombus stiffness and selection of therapeutic approach.
