FIELD: metal processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to connection of the end of the first metal strip to the beginning of the second metal strip in plants for processing strips. End of the strip and the beginning of the strip with formation of overlapping lap are located one above the other and in overlapping area lapping at many points of connection by means of the penetrating connection without separation is connected to each other. Before connection the thickness of the end of the first metal strip and the thickness of the beginning of the second metal strip inside the strip processing plant are measured. Process of penetrating connection is regulated depending on measured before connection of thicknesses. Depth of dipping of die or tool dies for penetrating connection is adjusted depending on thicknesses measured before connection.
EFFECT: higher quality of strips connection.
