FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology and represents a complex of chimeric surface protein for determining the structure of a heterologous protein, comprising a trimer-forming surface protein of rotavirus VP7, associated with a heterologous protein, wherein VP7 rotavirus surface protein is bound to said heterologous protein by a non-covalently two-part adapter system, wherein one portion of the adapter system is formed by a first adapter polypeptide that is fused with rotavirus VP7 surface protein, optionally by a linker sequence, and the other portion of the adapter is formed by a second adapter polypeptide which is fused with a heterologous protein, optionally through a linker sequence, wherein the first adapter polypeptide and the second adapter polypeptide contain a heptadic repeating sequence, where both parts of adapter system form stable complex with each other, and where said complex of chimeric surface protein is able to become part of external layer of rotavirus particle by recapsidation in vitro using said two-layer rotaviral particles.
EFFECT: disclosed are rotaviral particles with chimeric surface proteins.
