FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in control systems of internal combustion engines (ICE). Disclosed are methods and systems for processing a test set of data obtained during on-board diagnostics (OBD) and transmitting to a remote point of curve parameters for adjustment to said data for further data processing. For example, the method may comprise performing a diagnostic test for a fuel vapor collection system, adjusting the curve to at least part of the data, transmitting to the remote point parameters of the curve for adjustment, as well as values of the initial and final data points for further processing. Vehicle onboard controller can control engine operation based on signals received from remote point after data recovery in remote point and their analysis.
EFFECT: invention reduces the amount of data transmitted to a remote data receiving point and thereby enables faster data transmission and reduces the amount of memory occupied by the data.
