FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention discloses methods and systems for controlling fuel supply by means of a distributed injection injector. Under conditions of low engine load, fuel feed pump connected with injector of distributed injection is switched off, allowing pressure in fuel ramp to fall to pressure of fuel vapor. Fuel is fed into engine cylinders while pressure in fuel rail remains at fuel vapor pressure level, with fuel pumping pump still disconnected for some duration, as long as the amount of fuel supplied to the engine by means of distributed injection does not exceed a certain threshold, which is a fraction of the volume of the fuel rail. Then the fuel feed pump can be switched on again.
EFFECT: invention allows to maintain fuel pump disconnected for longer periods of time and provides advantages of fuel efficiency, and also improves accuracy of fuel supply by distributed injection.
