FIELD: chemistry; physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a perforated anode for electrolytic production of aluminium by electrolysis of fluoride melts. Anode is made in form of perforated structure formed by longitudinal and transverse anode elements, which intersect with each other and are limited by lateral sides of crossing anode elements, with through holes or perforated structure with evenly distributed through anode through holes, centres of which are located at corners of regular triangular grid of anode elements, and also includes vertical or inclined ribs protruding from electrolyte, which are integrated with anode elements or current lead.
EFFECT: reduced voltage drop in anode and bubble layer under anode, reduced anode overvoltage and anode consumption and increased current output and reliability of cryolite-alumina crust, which leads to longer service life of anode and promotes formation of reliable and strong cryolite-alumina crust above melt surface, increasing efficiency of process.
