FIELD: internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the cooling system of internal combustion engine. Disclosed is engine cooling system with internal combustion engine, which form head cooling jacket and cooling jacket of unit in configuration with separation of flows. First thermostat is installed at the output of the cooling jacket of the unit and is made with possibility to control the coolant flow through it. Second thermostat is installed so that to receive coolant flow from the first thermostat and the head cooling jacket. First and second thermostats are located in thermostat assembly inside the housing. In accordance with the fact that the coolant temperature is below the first threshold value, the first and second thermostats downstream of the engine in the thermostat assembly are closed so that the coolant flows through the head jacket and the thermostat assembly to the pump, and such that coolant in head jacket captures dropping coolant flow from unit jacket via intercylinder cooling channel, thus cooling intercylinder space.
EFFECT: invention provides faster warming up of the cylinder block.
