FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to ophthalmology. For surgical treatment of pterygium 3–5 degrees, excision of pterygium is performed with subsequent replacement of corneal defect with donor graft. After excising the pterygium, 0.02 % mitomycin C solution is instilled once, the defect base is leveled in the phototherapeutic keratectomy mode, and the corneal defect is replaced with the Bowman's membrane transplant with the thickness corresponding to the corneal destruction depth. Conjunctiva defect is covered with an excised auto-conjunctive flap.
EFFECT: method enables restoring the anatomical integrity of a damaged cornea and conjunctiva with a reduced risk of transplant rejection, absence of induced astigmatism, prevention of haze.
