FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to ophthalmology. For the treatment of keratectasias the Bowman membrane donor transplant is subjected to cross-linking and implanted into the intrastromal pocket of the recipient. Intrastromal pocket is formed mainly at a depth of 50 % of the Descemet's membrane. Crosslinking is carried out under UV irradiation with a power density of 3 mW/cm2 for 15 minutes. Before UV irradiation, the Bowman membrane transplant is placed in a 0.1 % riboflavin solution for 15 minutes. Method provides the possibility of surgical treatment at a thickness of the cornea less than 400 mcm, K value over 58 diopter with an increase in the thickness of the cornea and a change in the curvature of the cornea with the possibility of subsequently performing a standard cross-linking of the cornea.
EFFECT: proposed is a keratectasias treatment method.
