FIELD: medical science.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to ophthalmology. First, Descemet's membrane is separated from the donor corneoscleral disc. Stroma is pneumatised to form an air bubble to separate the pre-Descemet's layer of the required diameter. Filling bladder with dye, excising cornea on edges of detached pre-Descemet's layer. Stripped and coloured pre-Descemet's layer is separated from the stroma. It involves de-epithelisation or excimer laser ablation of recipient’s corneal subepithelial fibrosis. Donor graft of the pre-Descemet's corneal layer is placed in the ablation region. Cornea is covered with a soft contact lens.
EFFECT: invention provides preventing recurrent formation of subepithelial fibrosis.
