METHOD FOR DETERMINING ARTERIAL PRESSURE IN THE SHOULDER ON EACH CARDIAC CONTRACTION Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B5/22

Abstract RU 2698447 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to methods for evaluating arterial pressure by results of continuous non-invasive measurement of arterial pressure on each cycle of cardiac contraction and periodical fixation of Korotkov tones in a shoulder. A method of determining arterial pressure in the arm on each heart contraction involves periodical occlusion of the shoulder of the patient with a shoulder cuff, recording pressure in the shoulder cuff and recording Korotkov's tones using a sound vibration sensor and continuous non-invasive measurement of arterial pressure on another part of patient's body simultaneously with occlusion of shoulder. Method includes converting a blood pressure measured continuously in another part of the body by shifting and scaling the amplitude of the original pulse waves until obtaining the transformed pulse waves, which anacrotic limbs cross the pressure curve in the shoulder cuff in the moments of time, which correspond to the Korotkov tones origination moments. That is followed by determining systolic and diastolic arterial pressure in each cardiac contraction by the arterial pressure values obtained as a result of conversion, measured continuously.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of measurement accuracy by determining arterial pressure on each cardiac cycle.
