FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used in electric transmissions of wheeled and caterpillar vehicles for various purposes. Switched reluctance electric machine with switched phase windings includes a stator with phase windings made in the form of coils arranged on the teeth of the stator magnetic core in its slots, a winding-free rotor on the shaft of which a toothed magnetic conductor, bearing shields and a converter are fixed. Coils of each phase winding are interconnected to form two groups, each of which includes an equal number of coils. Converter includes a controller, power transistor keys and diodes intended for switching of phase windings, and three thyristors for each phase used for switching of phase windings (groups of coils) from their serial connection to parallel and back. First thyristors are connected in series between two groups of coils of windings of each phase, and the second and third thyristors are connected to different leads of two groups of coils of each phase winding. Polarity of connection of each thyristor is matched with direction of current flow in group of coils, to which it is connected. Power part of converter of N-phase electric machine can be implemented in the form of N asymmetric or N/2 symmetrical bridge switches.

EFFECT: increased efficiency, reliability and simplified design of switched reluctance electric machine with switched phase windings.
