FIELD: construction; chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a gypsum board comprising a gypsum matrix containing wood particles immersed therein in an amount of at least 1 wt. % with respect to gypsum, wherein the gypsum matrix further contains a polymer additive in an amount of at least 1 wt. % with respect to the gypsum, where no support substrate is attached to either side of the gypsum board, and where the polymer additive is selected from a group comprising polyvinyl acetate, a copolymer of polyvinyl acetate with ethylene, polyvinylpyrrolidone cross-linked with polystyrene sulfonate, polyvinyl alcohol, methylcellulose, hydroxyethyl methylcellulose, butadiene-styrene rubber copolymer, ester acrylate rubber, copolymer acrylic rubber, polyester resin, epoxy resin, polymethyl methacrylate, polyacrylic acid, cation-containing starch, ethylated starch, dextrin and mixtures thereof. EFFECT: technical result is higher capacity of plate to retain fasteners without using support substrate.
