SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of making gypsum-based sheets and plaster gypsum suspension for use in them. There is developed a method for continuous production of gypsum-based panels, which includes formation of a mixture containing stucco gypsum, migrating starch, glass fibres and water; mixture is cast into continuous strip; holding the strip under conditions sufficient for formation of a bonded matrix of hardened gypsum from plaster gypsum; cutting the strip to form one or more wet workpieces of the panel; and drying the panel wet block to form one or more gypsum-based panels; wherein mass ratio between water and plaster gypsum in mixture is less than 0.7; amount of the plaster gypsum in the mixture is more than 60 wt. % relative to the total content of solid substances in the mixture; amount of starch in mixture is more than 3 wt. % relative to plaster gypsum; amount of glass fibers in the mixture is more than 1 wt. % relative to the stucco gypsum; and density gypsum-based panel is more than 700 kg/m³. Also described are plaster gypsum suspension and a panel having a gypsum-based core.
