METHOD OF OPERATING A LITHIUM-ION ACCUMULATOR BATTERY IN AN AUTONOMOUS POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC H01M10/52 H01M10/44

Abstract RU 2699051 C1

FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used in development and operation of lithium-ion accumulator batteries of autonomous power supply systems of artificial earth satellite (AES). According to the invention, the method of operating a lithium-ion accumulator battery in an autonomous power supply system involves carrying out charges, storing in a charged state, recharging, if necessary, discharges, monitoring voltage of accumulators and periodic balancing of accumulators by voltage by selecting accumulator with minimum voltage, connection to remaining accumulators of individual discharge resistors, with subsequent disconnection of corresponding resistors when voltage is achieved on corresponding accumulators of voltage level of initially selected accumulator, wherein voltage control of accumulators and difference element-by-element voltages of the most charged and least charged batteries is carried out on-board computer, with control period at least once in 32 seconds, and when voltage difference of the most charged and least charged accumulators of specified value, which is stored in on-board computer, starts the process of balancing as per program in on-board computer.

EFFECT: simplified operation and increased efficiency of usage of lithium-ion accumulator battery in autonomous power supply system.
