FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to marine underwater equipment, namely to devices providing movement in water environment of underwater vehicles operating at great depths. Propulsion unit of underwater vehicle comprises strong housing, high-speed motor and propulsor. High-speed electric motor is a non-contact direct-current motor of the submersible design of the inverted structure. Engine rotor is untighted, and engine stator is sealed with cavities filled with neutral liquid and located coaxially inside unsealed rotor. In the rotor bearing support the screw propeller is rigidly fixed, and a hydraulic compensator is additionally built into the stator. At the stator end the rotor position sensor is additionally installed. Control system is located in strong housing, on which ring adapter and deep-water design connectors are installed.

EFFECT: higher operational characteristics of underwater vehicle.
