FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to orthopedics, and can be used in determining the type of degenerative rupture of the plantar plate of metatarsophalangeal joint due to reloading metatarsalgia. Condition of metatarsophalangeal joint and surrounding tissues is assessed by ultrasonic examination. If observing thinning of the layer of fibers in the structure of the plate, thinning of fibers adjacent to the head of the metatarsal bone, and their nonparallel arrangement, edematous-infiltrative changes of the plantar plate and absence of edematous-infiltrative changes of the membranes of the long flexor and dislocation of the main finger phalanx, presence of a subluxation in the metatarsophalangeal joint corresponding to the Hamilton-Thompson type G1 damage is determined. If observing damage of plantar fiber fibers adjoining head of metatarsal bone to 50 %, edematous-infiltrative changes of plantar plate and edematous-infiltrative changes of membranes of long flexor 2 fingers, dislocation of the primary phalanx of finger by 30 % is determined by the presence of subluxation in the metatarsophalangeal joint corresponding to the type of G2 damage according to Hamilton-Thompson classification. If observing the injury of more than 50 % of the adjoining head of the metatarsal bone of the plantar plate fibers, edematous-infiltrative changes of the plantar plate and membranes of the long flexor muscle of 2 fingers, overexploitation in the metatarsophalangeal joint – dislocation of the primary phalanx by 50 % and more, presence of complete irreparable dislocation in a metatarsophalangeal joint corresponding to type of G3 damage according to Hamilton-Thompson classification is determined. If observing complete damage of adjacent head of metatarsal bone of plantar plate fibers, edematous-infiltrative changes of plantar plate, edematous-infiltrative changes of membranes of long flexor 2 fingers, dislocation of the main phalanx of the finger, dislocation in the metatarsophalangeal joint with dislocation of the base of the finger, determining the presence of complete irreparable dislocation in the metatarsophalangeal joint corresponding to the type of G4 damage according to Hamilton-Thompson classification.
EFFECT: method provides a wider range of means for determining the type of degenerative rupture of the plantar plate of the metatarsophalangeal joint due to reloading metatarsalgia ensured by the ultrasonic signs used.
