METHOD FOR SURGICAL TREATMENT OF INCOMPLETE DISLOCATIONS AND DISLOCATION OF PINS IN METATARSOPHALANGEAL JOINTS AT OVERLOAD METATARSALGIA Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC A61B17/00

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to traumatology and orthopaedics in treating incomplete dislocations and dislocations of fingers in metatarsophalangeal joints. One performs back access over metatarsophalangeal joint and joint capsule is dissected. Using straight needle with length of 5-7 cm fibrous capsule of joint and muscle tendon long flexor muscle of fingers are pierced. Needle is brought out through skin on bottom surface, then through point of sticking out on skin is introduced in opposite direction in medial direction from tendon, shifted by 3-4 mm in lateral direction, needle is brought out in soft tissues on side of tendon long flexor muscle of thumb. At output lateral portions of the tendon in volar-rear direction are pierced to form inverted "U-like" shape. Then two ends of threads output at back surface of tendon are brought through two channels, pre-drilled in base of proximal phalanx with further tension and fixed on its rear surface.

EFFECT: method enables reducing operative injures and recurrence rate, improving static-dynamic function of foot with preserving range metatarsophalangeal joint, eliminating pain sensations, improves support function of foot, enable finger in re-rolling phase during walking, relieve metatarsophalangeal articulation, thereby eliminating formation of hyperkeratosis under head of metatarsal bone.
