FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and can be used for production of thin strips from aluminum-magnesium alloys possessing high strength and ductility. Before deformation passage cooling of thin strip from aluminum-magnesium alloy to cryogenic temperature -153…-196 °C, and rolling in each pass is performed in two rolls with mismatch of their circumferential speeds at least twice and with a single degree of deformation of not less than 50 % to total degree of deformation of 75–95 %, and after the last pass of rolling, the strip is heated at rate 100–400 °C/s. Technical result is ensured by heating to temperature of 20–100 °C above the recrystallisation start temperature with holding for a specified time, after which the strip is cooled to room temperature at rate of 100–400 °C/s.
EFFECT: high plastic properties while maintaining high strength properties owing to formation of a partially recrystallized structure consisting of grains of a submicron range with average size of ½–1 mcm with volume fraction of 75–80 % and micron grains with average size of 2–4 mcm volume ratio of 20–25 %.
