FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of ceramic plates of cutting tools for machining of hard-to-machine materials. Method includes calcining alumina containing α-Al2O3 and γ-Al2O3, its vibrating, enrichment, drying to produce modification aluminum oxide α-Al2O3, its mixing with silicon oxide, titanium carbide, tungsten carbide, boron carbide, chromium oxide, nickel, molybdenum, niobium and cobalt, plastification and hot pressing to obtain a pressed plate, sintering, annealing with curing for 5–10 minutes in the temperature maximum region and its mechanical processing.
EFFECT: improved physical and mechanical characteristics of the ceramic plate for the cutting tool.
