FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of sorption materials for extracting gold ions from hydrochloric acid solutions. Disclosed is a method of producing a sorbent containing crown-ester on a carrier, intended for sorption of gold from hydrochloric acid solutions with concentration of hydrochloric acid of 0.1–0.3 mol/l. Method envisages preparation of a carrier, treatment of the prepared carrier with benzo-15-crown-5 solution in chloroform or methanol in the presence of nitrobenzene as a diluent or without a diluent, distillation of the solvent and drying of the obtained sorbent.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain a sorbent with an increased gold distribution coefficient.
